Critical Home Repair Program
Armstrong Habitat for Humanity partners with homeowners to complete much needed home repairs and modifications
that increase the safety, accessibility, condition and livability of the home.
How Does it Work?
Homeowners complete an application
Armstrong Habitat will assist you to identify and prioritize what your eligible repairs are and Armstrong Habitat will estimate your repair costs.
Professional construction staff, volunteers, and subcontractors complete your repairs.
Homeowners participate in the project as they are able (may be to provide a lunch).
What Types of Repairs can be Done? Typical repairs:
Roofs, windows, doors
Porches and railings (fall prevention)
Steps, access ramps and walkways (eliminate tripping hazards)
Exterior painting/staining
Home weatherization
Landscaping
Other minor home repairs
Who Qualifies?
Must own and live in a home in Armstrong County that needs repairs
The home must be covered by homeowners insurance
Ability to repay part of the costs if required
Household gross income must meet be below the thresholds in the table below:
